PREMISE: Around the world, invitations were delivered. Under the watchful eye of the great master Dali Llama, the world's greatest martial artists would return to a place they knew well - Brutal Island. Each will use their own unique mental and physical martial arts style and training in a tournament to prove the world's one true champion.
IMPRESSIONS: Oh wow, furries beating each other to a pulp! It's an amusing game visually, but the artists couldn't seem to decide if they were from Warner Brothers or not. The gameplay is merely passable at best, and this version shrunk the cast down to only creatures capable of mange (where's the cool alligator from the PC version?). Foxy Roxy is cool, though - probably the coolest fighter in the whole game, and that's its saving grace. |

PREMISE: The tides of evil are sweeping the land, and for once the forces of good are taking a royal pounding. It is up to you to save the day it this series of classic RPGs.
IMPRESSIONS: The graphics and sound are quite reminescent of Zelda 3 - in other words, they're good. The game is one endless battle; to journey to the next town your characters must fight their way across a hex grid riddled with monsters. The map endlessly scales and rotates during these battles, which can get annoying. Overall it's good, but there's no guarantee you'll like it. |

PREMISE: A reworked version of the arcade classic Arkanoid with both new graphics and lots of new power-ups.
IMPRESSIONS: This could have been a classic. Beautiful graphics,
awesome new power-ups, and 99 stages - but its just too damn easy. The ball moves so slowly there's almost no chance you'll miss it, even on the highest difficulty setting. |
