СШАThe plot kinda sucks, but at the same time it does have it's interesting aspects. Some evil warlord (can't remember the name) Brainwashed 7 powerful fighters and they're all gonna take over the world by (*Gasp!*) polluting the water and wasting all of the natural resources (The most dastardly plot since Lagoon!) When you start a new game, you pick one of the 7 characters. They "mysteriously" snap out of it. Your job is now to kick the crap out of the other 6, and then the Warlord's top 2 henchmen, and then the Warlord.
The innovative thing is how the HP bar is set up (It's in 4 sections, over time your HP refills gradually, but not over sections...as in, if you take such a beating that you now have 2 1/2 sections of HP left, eventually that will fill all the way back up to 3, but it won't start filling up to 4. Also, depending on how many sections you have left when you win a battle, you get to accumulate points to Attack, Defense, etc.
All in all, it's a great game with some severe drawbacks in the writing department. Still, everything else is innovative, and the cast is...interseting to say the least (You get some guy made of liquid, a giant lizard-thing, a REALLY obese Japanese guy named P. Lump, a guy who looks like a cross between Zangief, Mr. T, and Gene Simmons from KISS, among others...) I gave it an 8. |
