PREMISE: JVC's take on the the popular sport of horse racing. Build and then race your own stable of horses.
IMPRESSIONS: Not bad, if you like this sort of thing. A bit heavy on the digital imagery, though, which does get monotonous after a while.

PREMISE: A strange meteorite made of purple clay falls out of the sky one night and slams into an abandoned amusement park, and from the rubble arises one fighter after another, created in the likeness of those parts of the park where pieces of the meteorite fell. Now these new creations have but one goal in life - to be the king of the circus - and they're willing to beat the crap out of any of their fellows who might get in the way.
IMPRESSIONS: Oh, God, this game is so horrible I just want to slit my wrists every time I think about it. The only reason I started playing it was its cool opening theme, but I soon found out that there was more to the game. I now had to face the awful reality that the best part was over and I had to PLAY this this hellspawn of a mess....I really HATE this game!
VARIATIONS: Clayfighter - 1993, the original
Clayfighter: Tournament Edition - 1994, an enhanced version with a bigger roster, more moves, and a new intro that tells the "real" story behind the game.
C2: Judgement Clay - 1994, yet another enhanced version with a bit of a parody on the movie Terminator 2 thrown in for good measure.

PREMISE: You play a gob of goo rolling around in somebody's back yard trying to survive the many dangers nature and humans have to offer. You can change forms and capabilities by absorbing other gobs of goo you come across.
IMPRESSIONS: Original concept that reminds me of Super Putty in a way. Might have made for a good game if it had been completed. |
