В отличие от Flashback и Out of this World, здесь музыка звучит всегда.

  PREMISE: A really slick-looking R-Type clone.

IMPRESSIONS: The idea of melding with enemy ships and using their weapons is cool, sure. Too bad every other aspect of this game sucks. The graphics are awful, the music is lame, and the gameplay is boring.

A suberb flying game that could rival microsoft's flight simulator series with gameplay, the graphics are typical of the SNES, but well worth the money if into the flying genre. The game is suitable for all ages as the content is next to nothing. but control's are a bit tricky to start off with.

IMPRESSIONS: Kind of a cross between Breakout and Puyo Puyo, with the typically bright and cheerful Japanese graphics and sound.

PREMISE: This is actually the third in a series of games that originally began with the venerable arcade classic Tower of Druaga. You might remember that one of the powerups from that game was a blue crystal rod. Well,...
IMPRESSIONS: A fitting finale to a gaming classic.

PREMISE: Relive the magic of the classic Saturday Night Live skits with this game, in which Jake and Elwood Blues must "tune up your insturments and get ready to play some blues!"
IMPRESSIONS: At best this is a mildly attractive but standard platform game with some catchy music. At worst, it is a poor excuse to blow some quid. I like the graphics and the BGMs, but that's not enough. Titus, try harder.

PREMISE: You play the precocious little boy created by comedian Howie Mandel for the Fox animated series of the same name as he undergoes all sorts of adventures.
IMPRESSIONS: Passable. The graphics somewhat resemble those of the TV show and the music is bright and peppy, but the game itself somehow just doesn't wash.

  Strategy>Breeding/Constructing

A lot of people read about this game, find out it's about farming, and immediately pass it off as boring. I have to admit I was skeptical about how good the game would be, but I gave it a try and liked what I found. In the days of Doom, Quake, and Tomb Raider, it's nice to see a game that doesn't have you hacking, shooting, or blowing people up can still be really interesting. Although the main theme of this game is farming, there's also involvement with people, 5 different girls who you can date, maybe marry, and possibly have a baby with. There are also a lot of extras and secrets, including having your house expanded twice, having pets, such as a dog and a horse who also are useful, and finding better tools. There are also over 10 endings depending on how well you do in the game. The theme of the game is your parents leave you to run the farm for 2 years, and from there you meet a lot of people, buy and harvest different crops, make money off of cows and chickens, and a lot more. In the game, one year is composed of 4 seasons, except the seasons are 30 days each. You have a lot of space to work with, which allows you to customize how your farms look. The only bad thing about the game is after you get married and have a baby, the game kinda lost it's interest. I would still recommend it highly and I can't wait until Harvest Moon 64 comes out, because if it's anything like this one, I know it'll be a good buy.

Graphics: 7/10 (one of the only downfalls these graphics are kinda blah)

Sound: 7/10 (I wouldn't call it an award winning soundtrack)

Control 8/10 (Very simple and easy)

Fun Factor: 10/10 (I was hooked for hours)

Overall: 8/10

Introduction:
This was the very first Harvest Moon game ever made. I'll bet Natsume never thought it would turn out to be a multi system success like it is today.

Graphics: 10
Harvest Moon goes into great detail uses the Super Nintendo's whole 32 bit graphic capabilities to create very cool graphics. The color changing with the seasons, and with the time of day is great, how how the bushes wilt in the Fall and the clouds go by in the summer is just excellent.

Sound: 10
The sound effects are great fom milking cow to chopping up a log they all sound real. The game has multiple songs varieing with the change of the seasons and where you are, they all fit the area and the time perfectly.

Play Control: 9
The controls of Harvest Moon are quick and responsive. The only problem is its the littlest bit hard to line your tool up with the object you want to use it on which can get slightly annoying.

Replay Value: 10
Harvets Moon will have anyone playing over, and over, and over again like the Energizer Bunny because each of the different things that happen depend on who you marry, what you do, what you plant, etc. But there is one medium sized problem. After 3 and a half years your dad comes back to rate you and unfortunately your game ends...

Story: 8
The story is simple. Your parents and you live on a farm and they leave you in charge of it. They want you to fix it up, get a wife, and raise livestock successfully. They tell you they'll be back in three and a half years to see what you've done with the place.

Game Design: 10
Natsume designed a great game that doesn't involve mass killings, terrorists, or blowing things up. It lasts 320days or like I've said before three and a half years. You try to plant crops, such as Tomatoes and Corn, harvest things from the mountains, and raise livestock to make a successful living. There are mountains, a town, your ranch, and five different girls you can marry.

Overall: 10
Overall Harvest Moon is one of the greatest games of all time! It is unique, original and the only thing like it is Sim Farm which is nothing compared to this. The Harvest Moon series is great and that's the only way to describe it. And of course, it's rated ''E'' for Everyone.

PREMISE: An almost-forgotten game on the old NES, Bomberman became a phenomena on the PC-Engine and remains a popular series to this day. As Bomberman, you must clear your path of obstacles (and foes) by placing self-detonating bombs nearby, then running like hell to avoid getting caught in the blast. Deceptively simple, this game has spawned numerous sequels and spin-offs and has become Hudson's trademark franchise.
IMPRESSIONS: Can we say cute? Can we say addicitive? Can we say lots of fun? This series proves you don't have to have the horsepower of a DOOM-style game engine to produce a great little blastathon. Best experienced in multiplayer mode, although Hudson has made a concerted effort over the years to increase the challenges offered in single-player mode.

VARIATIONS: In practice with many other SNES/SFC titles, all but two of the Bomberman games for this console have the word "Super" tacked on front. All titles are listed here for convienence's sake.

Super Bomberman - 1993, Bomberman's first outing on the SNES. The most simplistic and therefore easiest to play installment.
Super Bomberman 2 - 1994, pretty much the same as before but adds new power-ups, options, and several multiplayer arenas.
Super Bomberman 3 - 1995, this time Bomberman is joined by Rooy, a kangaroo-like animal whose has his own unique talents to add to our little robot's bag of tricks. A lot of people didn't like this change, complaing that the purity of the gameplay was being sacrificed for a childish add-on; others thought it oh-so-kawaii.
Panic Bomber World - 1995
Super Bomberman 4 - 1996, adds many new stages and hidden characters in single-play mode, and now includes a hit point (HP) system; "Bomberman's no longer a one-hit wonder! (.games)"
Bomberman: B-Daman - 1996, this entry was actually inspired by the popular B-Daman toy line in Japan at the time. B-Daman somewhat resembles a game of skittles (bowling's precursor), but here the pins explode!
Super Bomberman 5 - 1997, the seventh and final episode in the SNES/SFC series. "Those damn bunnies are still there," gripes Rage Games, but this probably has the most complicated single-player storyline of the lot. An evil meanie has gone and freed all of Bomberman's foes, so you're going to be busy for a while. One nice touch in multiplayer is that eliminated foes reappear on the sidelines and can chuck bombs at the few who fight to survive the round.
Super B-Daman - no information available

Bomberman has inspired a number of clones over the years. Some of these exist for the SNES/SFC, with Bakuto Douchers being the most notable. See separate entry for more details
